The Ark is portrayed as a weapon of mass destruction, from where The Angel of Death will rise up and destroy the unbelievers, for miles around. Only those whose faith is true will be saved.
The Order of St. Michael's purpose is to fuel The Ark with Monatomic Gold and manage to get it's two missing Cherubs to make the Angel of Death entity appear and "save" the Christendom of the unworthy.
It is later revealed that Monsignor Devlin and Father Gregor, both part of the Holy Order operating alongside, hire Anna Maria to retrieve the missing Cherbus and descifer the old Manuscript.
The Order hides The Ark underground St. Michaels church, whilst managing to sneak Monatomic Gold into The Monastery unseen by disguising its traces in communion wafers made in The Sisters of Mercy Factory .
All is into place for "The Ceremony", all but a crucial thing missing. The Ark needs a human interface to work, and Father Gregor has the perfect living soul for the sacrifice: Nico. It is then, time for George to save the day again.
As George bashes The Ark with his Telescopic Golf-Club, Anna-Maria holds Mevlut at bay and eventually shoots him, only to take a bullet as well.
Etymology[]
The Ark of the Covenant (Hebrew: אָרוֹן הַבְּרִית ʾĀrôn Habbərît, modern pron. Aron Habrit), also known as the Ark of the Testimony, is a chest described in the Book of Exodus as containing the Tablets of Stone on which the Ten Commandments were inscribed.

- The first Cherub is located in Istanbul, Turkey, beneath the Topkapı Palace. The second cherub is below the temple of Mount Horeb.
